About Halefem Gynae

Halefem Gynae is the gynaecology division of Edmund Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2015 certified company operating since 2015. We market more than 200 gynaecology formulations across six therapeutic series to distributors, stockists and franchise partners across India. Our products are manufactured at WHO-GMP compliant units at Sai Road, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

What we are, and what we are not

Halefem Gynae is a marketing and distribution company. We do not own manufacturing plants and we do not claim to. Our formulations are produced under contract at WHO-GMP compliant units in Baddi, one of India’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing clusters, and we hold responsibility for the range, the brands, the packing decisions and the supply chain that puts them in a distributor’s hands.

We say this plainly because the gynae PCD market is full of companies that blur the line. A distributor comparing four suppliers deserves to know which one actually runs a plant and which one markets a range — and to judge each on what it genuinely does well.

Why gynaecology only

Edmund Healthcare operates several divisions. Halefem is the one that does nothing but women’s health, and that focus shows up in the range rather than in the marketing.

A general-range PCD company carries a handful of gynae products alongside antibiotics and analgesics. It cannot support a distributor who wants to build a prescription base with three IVF clinics and a district hospital’s antenatal OPD, because it does not carry micronised progesterone in three presentations, or DHEA, or a male infertility range. We do. That is the whole argument, and it is a range argument, not a claim about being the best.

The six series

• Female infertility and PCOS-PCOD management — myo-inositol, letrozole, clomiphene citrate, DHEA, hCG injection
• Progesterone — natural micronised progesterone in soft-gelatin, sustained-release and injectable forms, plus dydrogesterone
• Gynecological and pregnancy care — ferrous ascorbate, L-methylfolate with DHA, calcium, tranexamic acid
• UTI and vaginal care — cranberry with D-mannose, clindamycin–clotrimazole pessaries
• Contraceptive and abortion care — oral contraceptives and the medical termination range
• Male infertility — antioxidant and micronutrient combinations for the male partner

How we think about packing

Presentation is not a detail in this category. Moisture-sensitive hormones go into Alu-Alu, not PVC, because a blister that fails in an Indian summer costs a distributor a doctor. Progesterone goes into soft-gelatin capsules because it is poorly absorbed from a plain compressed tablet. Injections ship with the syringe. Pessaries ship with an applicator that patients will actually use, because compliance is what generates the repeat prescription.

None of this is exotic. It is simply the difference between a range assembled to be sold and a range assembled to be prescribed twice.

How we work with partners

Halefem appoints one partner per district. Your territory is checked against the existing partner map before anything is agreed and recorded in the agreement itself, not left to an understanding over the phone. The prescription base you build with your doctors stays yours.

Partners receive promotional input free against their orders — visual-aid folders, product card manuals, MR bags, order books, samples and reminder cards. Orders are invoiced ex-factory against advance payment and dispatched on receipt, with batch numbers and expiry on every invoice. A valid drug licence and GST registration in your own name are required before we can supply, particularly for the hormone, contraceptive and injectable range.
